Did Lydia know where the nation of Afghanistan could be found on a map? Not at all! Was that going to stop her from picking an Afghan restaurant for Supper Club this week? Also not at all! And everything smelled fantastic, which had led her to decide she'd chosen correctly before even trying a bite.

Assuming other people liked it, that was...

Rey was there right on time, and for once, looking at her phone when she arrived. Because someone hadn't looked at the menu till she was walking here and now there wasn't a point.

Phone away now.

She was just going to have to be spontaneous! Somewhat. "Miss Skywalker!" Lydia exclaimed when she saw her. "I'm so glad you're here!" and she wasn't awkwardly waiting alone any more.

"I am known for it," Rey smiled. "Been waiting long?"

"Not very," Lydia assured her, "but I do try to be the first one here so that everyone else can be assured they've found the right place." And there was always the possibility, however faint, that she was the one who had not found the right place.

"Mostly Flint?" Rey guessed.

"Well, I wasn't going to say it, but...yes," Lydia admitted. "I am a little afraid one of these days he is going to stab an automobile." And who could blame him?

"That hadn't occurred to me and now I'm surprised he hasn't already," she said.

"It is a minor miracle," Lydia agreed. "But I don't think taking the sword away from him would go well for anyone." It was like his stabby security blanket.

"I always get a little nervous openly having weapons out here," Rey admitted. "I can get to my lightsaber if needed but..."

America and weapons, you know?

"'Lightsaber?'" Lydia repeated. "I'm afraid I'm not familiar...but of course, weapons are not really my strong suit."

"Laser sword, basically," she explained. "Same idea as a regular sword, but a different execution."

Lydia knew what a laser was! People used them to entertain cats in humorous videos!

She fully assumed a lightsaber was a sort of cat toy now, yes, which raised a number of questions, but she didn't ask any of them. Instead she said, "Probably best not to pull that out in the middle of the restaurant, yes."

She wondered if Rey would enjoy one of those cat cafes...did Baltimore have one of those? Research was called for.
