The food of India was not, of course, unknown in Lydia's time, but it was the sort of thing one found at a very few establishments in London, not in the likes of Meryton, so she was rather excited about today's destination for Supper Club.

She was less excited about the anticipated spice levels, but she was sure she would be able to find things on the menu that wouldn't burn her delicate English taste buds off.

She had sent out a message with their destination well in advance, so hopefully everyone would be able to find the place, and inform anyone new who might want to come along of where they could be found.

Did you know Rey owned jeans? Because she'd even forgotten until she was going through her things earlier in the day, because it'd been literally years. So she figured if they were going to the mainland, she could try wearing them again.

Felt weird.

Much like a tan, jeans were something you would not catch Lydia dead with, but Rey could of course do as she wished. "Miss Skywalker!" Lydia greeted her, and them smiled mischievously as she said, "I haven't seen you since last week!" You know, when they had shared a room, which no one had forgotten at any point. Ahem.

"Such a long time," Rey grinned. "Are you adjusting back to real life all right?"

"Oh, yes. I enjoyed Barbados, of course, but it made me a bit--well, I suppose 'homesick' is the right word, for Sainte Josephine. It doesn't exist here, you know." No, Lydia, Rey probably did not know.

Yes but no!

"Is Sainte Josephine like Barbados, then?" Rey asked.

"A bit," Lydia said. "Of course, it was very different when I was there--all in indigo plantations, you know--but they are both islands in the West Indies. The climate and such, and the beaches, all quite similar."

"I've heard a little about them." Thanks, pirates! "I can barely imagine getting to live somewhere like it."

"I don't think it's what I would choose for a permanent situation," Lydia mused. "It gets dreadfully hot in the summertime, you know, and we hadn't invented that air conditioning yet. But it is beautiful there."

"But with big to see for a whole," Rey said. "With air conditioning. People don't appreciate air conditioning enough."

They might appreciate it! But not enough.

"They really don't," Lydia agreed. "I wish I could get Georgiana to figure it out so we can have it at home, but we don't even have that electricity yet."
