Spring Cafe, Baltimore, Maryland, Thursday Evening

Did Lydia know where the nation of Afghanistan could be found on a map? Not at all! Was that going to stop her from picking an Afghan restaurant for Supper Club this week? Also not at all! And everything smelled fantastic, which had led her to decide she'd chosen correctly before even trying a bite.

Assuming other people liked it, that was...

Welcome to Supper Club, everyone who found their way to this corner of Baltimore!

Liliana also didn't know where Afghanistan was, but with the way the restaurant smelled, she might have to rectify her ignorance.

"I am, darling, thank you," she said. "Planning a visit to one of my properties on another plane this weekend, but that should be rather short and uneventful."

Did you hear laughing? Weird. For a moment it sounded like somebody was laughing.

"And yourself, darling?"

How important could it be?

"Do your spells require flowers and herbs?" Liliana asked, always interested in other branches of magic. "Concoctions and infusions and the like?"

"Are there some kinds of spells that work better with herbs than not?" Yes, tell her all about your magic, Lydia.

"They have food served in a teapot," Rey said helpfully.

"...How do they serve their tea?" Liliana had to ask. "Is it at least soup?"

"I think it's like a stew," she said. "I don't think you pour it?" She could be wrong!

"Wait, it's eaten out of the teapot, too?" Liliana asked. "Interesting..."

"I'm tempted to get it but there are other things I want to try," she said. "Maybe they can put them in teapots..."

"Do they explain why teapots?" Liliana had to ask. Because of course she did.
thatwaslucky: (maybe)

"No. I assumed it was cultural," she said. Maybe it was! She hadn't found it on the website!

"So, likely, someone had an idea once and it caught on and nobody bothered to question it once it turned into tradition," Liliana snorted. "Because far too many people allow themselves to be peer-pressured by dead people, and I'm a necromancer saying that."
thatwaslucky: (up for discussion)

"I honestly can't judge anyone for being peer pressured by dead people," Rey admitted.
