The food of India was not, of course, unknown in Lydia's time, but it was the sort of thing one found at a very few establishments in London, not in the likes of Meryton, so she was rather excited about today's destination for Supper Club.

She was less excited about the anticipated spice levels, but she was sure she would be able to find things on the menu that wouldn't burn her delicate English taste buds off.

She had sent out a message with their destination well in advance, so hopefully everyone would be able to find the place, and inform anyone new who might want to come along of where they could be found.

Routine? Structure? Productive? Liliana didn't know them.

"A worthwhile trip, my darling?" she asked, once more twining around him.

The trip with Gladio, obviously. Any trip with her was a worthwhile one.

It was true. Even the excursions that turned out utterly horrible were at the very least productive.

Ignis let himself become perfectly entrapped, twining an arm around Liliana in kind with a soft and pleased hum not to dissimilar to the feeling of finally finding the right piece to fit into a puzzle.

"Surprisingly so," he admitted. "I certainly had my doubts, but as it turns out, this particular venue has invested in a sort of haptic device that allows on to track the game through touch and sound. Quite a bit like a handheld video game console with vibration features. Not something I imagine I'd be clamoring to try again any time soon, but absolutely fascinating to at least try. I find the sport itself," his smile went a little wry, "terribly frustrating."

He understood that there were many elements at...well, play, but from a strategic standpoint, some of the choices made out on that court....

"I suppose that was worth the trip then," Liliana said, though she sounded entirely dubious. "Do I wish to ask what you find so frustrating? Or will that require me to have a basic understanding of the sport to even understand it?"

In which case...nah, she was good, thanks.

"Just..." There was a pause, as he considered and crafted the best way to explain it to her, without delving too much into any particulars or specifics that they would both find tedious. It wasn't as if he was terribly well versed in the game, besides. "Choices made by the players that perhaps from a spectator's perspective," and don't mind the little extra hitch up in his grin at the fact that, yes, that could include him in this regard, "seem almost nonsensical, and leaves little wonder as to why a certain play might have fallen flat or gone horribly wrong for their team. Granted, I do understand that the heat of the moment can make for hasty mistakes, but also, I do know that the heat of the moment is precisely when one must ensure not to make those mistakes."

"Ah, you're unimpressed by their tactics and efficiency, or, rather, lack thereof." She laughed, low and soft in his ear. "Then shall I keep you the next time Gladio wishes to run off with you for some haptic-assisted sports?"

That laugh was almost enough make him suggest she keep him from nearly everything.

"Mmm." This hum seemed to be teetering on a truly difficult decision indeed. "I will say, despite the frustrations, it was still rather nice to get a few moments to just 'hang out with the boys', as it were."

There was a pause, one Ignis fully expected to be filled with a sort of pout of Liliana's part, before he added, "But I certainly wouldn't begrudge you the effort, should you still be wont to try."

She was, in fact, pouting. "Well, I wouldn't want to keep you from 'hanging out with the boys'," she sniffed. "I'm sure they'll also be quite happy to keep you cool at night, too."

And Ignis was, in fact, trying his resolute best not to add to his smirk.

"Perhaps they might," he said, brushing a soft kiss against her cheek. "I'd have my doubts, all things considered, but what I am quite certain of is that I would not be nearly so happy with that situation, and I do have plenty of data to support that claim, as well, thank you."

"I am also much prettier to wake up next to," she declared. "But I'm sure you three will have a marvelous time 'hanging out,' whatever that entails."

"Usually," again, Ignis was trying his best to hide any sort of amusement in that lifted brow he was now giving Liliana, "it entails all of a few hours or the better part of the day..."

Noctis Memorial Fishing Trips notwithstanding, of course, but that was the importance of a word like usually.

"Wouldn't you know it," he added, because he couldn't quite help himself, "I'm sure both Gladio and Prompto would also find both their paramours far prettier to wake up to than me, as well."

"I'm pretty sure I can hear Prompto from here, informing you that Liz is his wife," Liliana said, pout dissolving into another laugh. "Besides, my darling, you are underestimating just how pretty you are."

Voice softer, lower, she murmured, "I do so love to look at you."
